A picturesque stay that is Nobu, Ibiza - 3 reasons why
Never thought I would have made a trip to Ibiza but when my London family encouraged (and by that I mean hounded) me to join their annual affair, I budged, just because I love them.
As always, accommodation plays a huge role in my decision when I travel. I called up the Amex Platinum concierge to get a few recommendations. Nobu came up as part of their Fine Hotels & Resorts range. It was rather pricey at $290 a night but sometimes, if sleep and comfort are your priority, especially after 7 - 8 hours of dancing, it’d be worth it.
Here are the three reasons why Nobu in Ibiza is worth staying when visiting Ibiza:
1 - The gorgeous landscape and setup
The large beach pool, beautiful palm trees, and sun beds are well placed for a relaxing morning or afternoon as you sip through your champagne or something as simple as a mai tai. My friends and I practically spent our mornings and afternoons sunbathing. I’d highly recommend bringing your best swimwear or beachwear to take full opportunity of the IG moments. Not forgetting, the attentive Spanish waiters who are there bringing you your spritz any time of the day!
2 - Service was on point
The General Manager personally walked me to my room and ensure that I settle in properly (fun fact, I’ve always thought of this as a good-to-have, not everyone likes being walked to the room). From the moment I registered, they have already engaged me by my name. I think this level of personalization is absolutely necessary to differentiate your connection with anyone. What happened next was even more remarkable. I went for a swim and came back to a bottle of prosecco with a handwritten welcome note. This is a moment of elevation, a moment I will remember every time I think of Nobu in Ibiza!
3 - Stunning rooms reflecting the “white island”
I got the deluxe sea view which was beautifully furnished with Ibizan artwork. The stone-colored floors surely made me feel at home, while away. Overlooking the Talamanca Bay, even if I had to work every morning, it was refreshing to enjoy the peace and quiet. Given the party island that Ibiza is, Nobu really gave me the nap I need every night before going out. Just look at how pretty the room is!
When I left, I was offered a cup of latte the way I like it by the manager. I suspect she knew I was dying inside but hey, that’s her being observant which is important! If I do Ibiza again next year, I will consider staying here again.
On this note, I miss my friends in London. Here’s one of our many group pictures that I really like and I’ll share it with you.
